Christina Inong ASW

Christina holds a master’s in social welfare from the University of California, Berkeley with a concentration in health from 2017.

Christina chose to work for SCIHP in 2023, she practices and promotes the mission of providing culturally relevant services. She is dedicated to supporting the health and wellness of our local Tribal communities. She specializes in culturally relevant Native American mental health treatment.

Christina has experience supporting all age groups, from children to elders, via strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches. Christina has a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral therapy in treatment, has been trained in play therapy for children, and is currently being trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy.

For wellness Christina centers her family and cultural traditions in her life. She enjoys the wellness centered teachings that traditional arts bring to her life, particularly through beadwork. She also strives to center language revitalization in her life with her family. Christina (Nahua, Tlaxcaltec, & Purepecha) is passionate about the healing and wellness that culture brings to life.
